

WHAT I DID
As a UI Tech Artist, my job covered a wide area of responsibilities. On any given day I was responsible for converting UI mockups to functional wireframes; writing Lua, C++, or visual scripts; and manipulating prefabs in Volition's proprietary editor, among a variety of other tasks.
During the project, I was in charge of creating the customization base systems and interfaces for characters, vehicles, clothing, weapons, and all in-game stores. I worked closely with open world gameplay designers to create message popups for the player when receiving rewards. I collaborated with the meta game designers and engineers to create the player's skill tree and progression apps. I also created the framework for the player's Cell Phone, which could open many different in-game Apps in portrait, landscape, and full screen modes. I was the primary owner for the company's UI list system, which provided ease of use and high performance for all UIs with interactive menus. Additionally, I worked on my adjacent systems and across multiple disciplines to make sure we had proper UI for all aspects of this multiplayer open world project.
